This exercise shows an android application that can read instruction from detected pattern(in this case a QR code) from video stream from drone and can autonomously land onto a QR code.
Robotic arm with computer vision
Posted on: |

Using a camera video stream from the scene to decide the next move for robotic arm to pick up the object.
Counting dice and train wagons using computer vision
Posted on: |

Before the next project I decided to do some computer vision exercises. Each example is based on a simple logic image preprocessing. No data structure or learning is required.
Play table
Posted on: |

The aim of this project was to create a table sized device with multiple proximity sensors that can play midi tones. Each sensor had a few LEDs to show hand distance above the table. This table could be used by one or more persons at once.

Touchboard scrolling
Posted on: |

For christmas, I bought myself a touchboard from bareconductive. It's a board with Atmel microprocessor ATMega32U4, 12 Analog inputs, 20 digital pins etc. In combination with 12 analog inputs you can create touch or proximity sensors.
Programming MCU

Working with android contacts
Posted on: |

In next few lines we will talk about detecting changes in Android contacts. Android Os provides a storage for contacts called Contacts Provider. Contact Provider allows you to manage an access to a structured set of data and standard interface that connects data in one process with code running from another process.
Fb vs G+ android sdk

Recently I had an opportunity to implement facebook and google plus login into android application. So i decided to write small comparison of those two (fb v4.3, google services v4.3.23)

Thermal printer perl library
Posted on: |

Last month I've created a web GUI for my raspberry Pi thermal printer. After spending some time with testing, I was unable to do some basic operations like print text with diacritics or create my own characters etc. So I decided to create my own library. I found out that there are plenty of them in python or C, but only few in Perl (with missing methods that I expected).

Thermal printer with RPi

I connected the thermal printer to the raspberry-pi and repeatedly requested server for new content. I used library in python that allows me to print images, barcodes and formatted text.
LG G3 quick circle case app
Posted on: |

LG released a small SDK for developers to access the functions of their circle case. To sum it up, there is a hidden magnet inside the case and a small sensor behind the screen part. So the SDK just provides a receiver for detecting opening/closing of the case.

Owi robotic arm with RPi
Posted on: |

In this article I'm going to write about connecting the Owi robotic arm with a Raspberry Pi Model B+ and controlling it with a keyboard, saving keyframes and controlling via wifi using websockets. And finally using an openCV face detection to follow the user's face movements.

iBeacon heat map test
Posted on: |

About a month ago I had an opportunity to play with an iBeacon on the Android platform. My first task was to implement a proximity trigger to Android client for one of our apps at work (MylogFleet). As we played with it, we wanted a more precise data such as a heat map.

Flipping in different programming languages and projects every day makes me want to store easy access files with many copy paste examples and notes. Everybody knows that the new features from any framework that you are currently reading will be needed in future.

Bill cropper
Posted on: |

We ran into a problem that people scanned more bills together, instead of one image - one document rule. So I decided to create a small script to recognize and crop these multi-bills images into separate images.
